Mama & Bub Yoga

My weekly Postnatal Yoga classes are for both you as a Mama and for your little bub to enjoy together. 

Again after my own experience with my little ones and seeing the incredible connection and experience it provides for both Mama & Bub I just feel so passionate about sharing this practise with you.

We generally start each session by arriving on the mat with some deep breathing and a welcome song for the babies. 

Depending on how babies are we start with some yoga moves for them and some more songs and then we move into some yoga for Mamas including gentle strengthening and pelvic floor awareness...babies practice with us so no need to worry if your baby doesn't like to be put down for long...because most don't!


Then we finish with some more moves for baby, some massage and then a joint relaxation  (and relaxing post baby is slightly different to relaxing pre baby- which I'm sure you've realised!)

You can start any time after the 6/8 week check up and go up to around crawling/walking stage. 

This class is a relaxed, openminded , safe space for you and your bub to spend time together moving and connecting. You can feed/change/cuddle your baby as much as you need throughout the class and there is never any pressure to do everything- just do as much or as little as you like. 

I try to organise tea + cake once a month after class so we all catch up properly and we have been known to go for a carvery at The Williams Arms for lunch after class every now and again or coffee at The Quay Cafe when its dry enough for a walk.

I like to think this group is more than just another class but also a little community for Mamas to support each other through this incredibly amazing but also challenging time.
